How Auto-Save Protects Your Writing (Never Lose Work)

WriteinaClick saves your work automatically as you type. You never need to press Save or worry about losing progress.

Does WriteinaClick auto-save my work?

Yes. WriteinaClick saves your work automatically as you type. You never need to save by hand (File > Save is there if you want it). Even if you close the browser tab, your latest edits are stored.

  • No manual save needed - Your work is always being saved
  • Seamless -- Saving happens without interrupting your writing
  • Reliable -- Even if you close the tab or navigate away, your latest changes are stored

Three Layers of Protection

Your work is protected at multiple levels:

1. Auto-Save (Continuous)

Every change you make is saved automatically within moments. The save status in the chapter title bar shows Saving... and then Saved. If the connection drops, it shows Not saved with a Retry button, or an offline status that says your changes will sync. No action needed on your part.

2. Version History

While you write, a version of your chapter is saved about every 5 minutes when the text has changed. You can also save one yourself with Versions > Save Version Manually. In version history you can:

  • View past versions -- See earlier drafts of your chapters
  • Restore previous versions -- Revert to an older version at any time
  • Compare changes -- See exactly what changed between versions, side by side

This means you can always go back, even if you accidentally delete a paragraph or rewrite something you later want to undo.

3. Backups (Multiple Times per Day)

On top of auto-save and version history, your data is backed up multiple times throughout the day. This provides an additional safety net protecting all your data against unexpected issues.

Focus on Writing

With auto-save, version history, and regular backups working together, you can write with confidence. Your work is safe at every level -- just focus on your story and let WriteinaClick handle the rest.
