Plans and Billing
Your personal account runs on one of three plans: Free, Premium, or Pro. This page covers what each plan includes and where to manage your billing. A plan applies to one workspace: the one that was active when you bought it. (For shared workspaces, see Team Billing and Seats.)

Monthly vs. yearly billing
Every paid plan is available on a monthly or yearly cycle. Yearly billing costs 25% less than paying month by month. Use the Monthly / Yearly switch at the top of the pricing page to see both prices, and pick the cycle before checkout.
How Robin quota works
Each plan includes a monthly Robin usage allowance that covers chat, editing, proofreading, and generation. Your usage appears as a percentage meter in Settings → Billing, and it resets at the start of each month. Higher tiers include a larger allowance.
Upgrading your plan
- Open the pricing page: use an upgrade prompt in the app, or go to Settings → Billing and click Upgrade plan (or View all plans if you're already on a paid plan).
- Choose Monthly or Yearly, then click Upgrade to Premium or Upgrade to Pro.
- You're taken to a secure payment page to enter your payment details and pay.
- When payment is done, you come back to Settings → Billing. It shows "Confirming your payment and activating your plan..." for a moment, then your new plan. No restart needed.
Check which workspace is active before you buy. If a shared workspace is active when you open the pricing page, you'll see a warning and a button to switch to your personal workspace first. A plan bought while a shared workspace is active applies to that shared workspace only, not to your personal books.
Subscribed in the mobile app? Plans bought in the WriteinaClick app for iPhone, iPad, or Android are billed by the App Store or Google Play. See Managing Your Subscription.
Where to see your current plan
Go to Settings → Billing. There you'll find:
- Your current plan, the workspace it applies to, and its renewal date
- Robin usage meter for the current month
- Subscription controls (see Managing Your Subscription)
Downgrading (and keeping your writing)
To move to a lower tier, cancel your current subscription (you keep paid access until the end of the billing period, then drop to Free) and subscribe to the new plan when you're ready.
You keep all your writing when you downgrade. Your data is retained: every book, chapter, voice profile, and your version history stays in your account. If you have more books or voice profiles than the new plan allows, your existing content is never deleted; you simply can't create new ones beyond the limit until you upgrade again. See Managing Your Subscription for exactly what happens when you drop to Free.
