Robin, your co-author

WriteinaClick includes Robin, your optional co-author. You can work with them as much or as little as you like. The writing canvas, voice profiles, proofreading, and exports all work whether or not you ever open the chat. When you do, open the book in Write so Robin reads the manuscript you're working on and their suggestions stay grounded in your story.

Your Voice Comes First

Robin's top priority is preserving your unique writing voice. Every suggestion, edit, and proofread is filtered through your style: your tone, pacing, point of view, and the way you want readers to experience your story.

This is why filling out your voice profile matters so much. The more Robin knows about how you write, the better they can help without changing who you are as a writer. Add writing samples, describe your style, and Robin will work to match it in everything they do.

How Robin helps

Robin works alongside you as a thoughtful collaborator. They can:

  • Discuss your work: Have context-aware conversations about plot, pacing, and style
  • Suggest edits - In Edit Mode, propose changes inside your chapter that you keep or undo
  • Proofread - Check grammar, spelling and style from the Edit page while respecting your voice
  • Match your style: Use voice profiles to keep suggestions consistent with how you write

Your ideas and decisions remain central. Robin supports you with feedback, edits, and analysis so you can focus on storytelling.

What Robin can do

Chat with Robin

Open the chat panel to ask questions about your book. Robin knows your chapters, characters, and plot, so you can get targeted help on structure, character development, pacing, and more. Use the chat for brainstorming, feedback, or quick answers.

Robin Book Skills

Hand Robin a reusable behavior (a beta reader, a continuity editor, a tough questioner) and keep that lens for a whole conversation. Start with the built-in skills or write and share your own across your workspace.

Editing with Robin

Switch the chat to Edit Mode and ask for a change. Robin can suggest a rewrite of a passage or a fix to its phrasing, and the suggestion appears inside your chapter next to your current text. Nothing changes until you click Keep; click Undo to throw it away.

Proofreading with Robin

Run a proofread from the Edit page on the chapters you pick or the whole book, then apply or dismiss each suggestion. While you draft, Spell check in Write underlines misspellings. Add custom words to your personal dictionary, adjust proofreading settings, and let Robin's part of the pass read your voice profile instead of forcing generic rules.

Voice Profiles

Create profiles that capture your writing style: tone, point of view, pacing, and perception. Add writing samples, then assign profiles to books so suggestions stay consistent with your voice across your projects.
