Workspaces Overview
A workspace is the container for your books, writing voices, Story Hub content, collaborators, and billing. Everything you create lives inside a workspace.
Every account has one personal workspace created automatically, and you can belong to any number of shared workspaces for collaborating with others.
Opening workspace settings
Open the user menu (the person icon, top right). Under Account you'll find the workspace switcher, which shows the name of the workspace you're in; use it to move between your workspaces. To manage the workspace you're currently in (its name, members, and invitations), choose Workspace settings in the same menu.
What's in this section
- Personal vs. shared workspaces: which to use when.
- Creating a shared workspace: start collaborating.
- Roles: what each member can do.
- Members and invitations: add and manage people.
- Accepting an invitation: join a workspace.
- Team billing and seats: how seats work, and how to get a team plan.
- Guest reviewer links: share a book with beta readers who don't need an account.
- Single sign-on and custom branding: what's available today.
Shared writing voices and Story Hub
Content you create in a shared workspace belongs to that workspace, and members can use it within the limits of their role. Story Hub entries set to Workspace scope appear across every book in the workspace. See Story Hub for how entry scope works.
