Personal vs. Shared Workspaces
WriteinaClick has two kinds of workspace.
Personal workspace
- Created automatically with your account, one per person.
- Private to you: no one else can be added.
- Cannot be renamed, converted to shared, or trashed.
- Ideal for your own solo projects.
Shared workspace
- Created by you when you want to collaborate.
- Holds multiple members with different roles.
- Starts on the Free plan. Per-seat team plans aren't sold in the app yet; see Team billing and seats.
- Ideal for co-authors, editors, a writing group, a classroom, or an agency.
Choosing between them
Write on your own? Stay in your personal workspace. Want other people to read, comment on, or edit your books? Create a shared workspace and invite them.
You can move between workspaces at any time with the workspace switcher in the user menu (the person icon, top right), and a book always belongs to exactly one workspace.
