Creating and Switching Shared Workspaces
Create a shared workspace
- Open the user menu (the person icon, top right).
- Under Account, click the workspace switcher (it shows the name of your current workspace).
- Choose Create workspace.
- Enter a Workspace name. It appears in the switcher and on invitations.
- Click Create workspace. You become the workspace owner.
A new shared workspace starts on the Free plan, and its limits apply to the books in it. See Team billing and seats.
Switch between workspaces
Use the workspace switcher to jump between your personal workspace and any shared workspaces you belong to. Shared workspaces are listed with your role in each. Switching changes which books, voices, and Story Hub content you see, because each workspace has its own.
Rename a workspace
Owners and admins can rename a shared workspace: open Workspace settings from the user menu, go to the General tab, change the Workspace name, and click Save. Personal workspaces cannot be renamed and cannot be converted to shared.
Trash a workspace
Only the owner can trash a shared workspace, from Workspace settings → Danger zone → Trash workspace. Trashing removes everyone's access immediately but keeps the content: no books, chapters, or notes are deleted. There's no restore button in the app, so if you need a trashed workspace back, contact us with Report an issue in the user menu. Personal workspaces cannot be trashed.
