Playback while you Write

Write on mobile does not read your chapter aloud. There are no play or voice controls in the Write screen.

What to do instead​

Listen from Reader:

  1. Open the Publish tab and tap Open in Reader (in the Finish section).
  2. Go to the chapter you want to hear.
  3. Tap Listen at the bottom of the screen.

Listen needs an internet connection and a Premium or Pro plan. See Text-to-Speech for the controls.

When you want to change something you heard, go back to Write and edit the chapter there.
