Version History on Mobile

Version history keeps earlier versions of the passages in your book, so you can look back at what you wrote and bring an older version back.

Open Version history​

  • In Write, tap Actions (...) and choose Version History.
  • Or open the Edit tab and, under Reports, tap Version history.

Browse and preview​

The screen has two tabs:

  • Active: versions of the passages that are in your book now, grouped by chapter.
  • Deleted: passages you deleted, with the history they had.

Tap any version to preview it. The preview shows the passage title, the kind of version (Manual, Auto-Save, or Revert), its version number, and when it was saved. Tap Done to close the preview.

Versions are saved automatically while you write on the web app, so a book you have only written on your phone may show No versions yet.

Restore a version​

  1. On the Active tab, tap the version you want.
  2. Tap Restore this version.
  3. Confirm with Restore.

The passage's current text is replaced, and a backup of it is saved first, so you can always come back. Restoring needs an internet connection.

Deleted passages can be previewed but not restored from this screen.
