The same account works on the web app, on iOS, and on Android. Signing in on mobile gives you immediate access to every workspace, book, voice profile, and story hub entry you've created elsewhere.
First time
When you open the app, pick a sign-in provider. Use the same provider you used the first time you created your WriteinaClick account.
If you've never had an account, signing in with a provider for the first time creates one. Your personal workspace is created automatically; see Create your first book for what to do next.
Staying signed in
The app keeps you signed in between launches so you can pick up where you left off. You only have to sign in again if:
- You sign out from the Account tab (Sign Out at the bottom).
- You haven't opened the app in a long time and the session has expired.
Switching accounts
You can sign out at any time: open the Account tab and tap Sign Out at the bottom. Then sign back in with a different account.
Signing out removes this device's offline copy, including any changes that have not synced yet. Before you sign out, go online and check Account > Data & sync: Pending changes should be 0. Tap Sync Now if it is not.
If you collaborate across multiple workspaces, you usually do not need a separate account. Switch workspaces instead: tap the Workspace card on the Account tab. See Workspaces on Mobile.
Trouble signing in?
- Make sure your device has a working internet connection.
- Make sure you're using the same sign-in provider you used originally.
- Force-close and re-open the app; transient network issues sometimes resolve on retry.
If you're still stuck, see Troubleshooting.
