Workspaces on Mobile
Everything you write lives inside a workspace: your personal workspace or a shared workspace you belong to. The mobile app shows you one workspace at a time and lets you switch with a single tap.
For the cross-platform concept, see Workspaces (Concepts). This page covers the mobile UI specifically.
Open the workspace switcher
Open the Account tab. Near the top, under your profile, the Workspace card shows the active workspace, whether it is Personal or Shared, your role, and the plan. Tap the card to open Switch workspace, which lists every workspace you belong to. A check mark shows the active one.
Switch
Tap a different workspace. The app reloads with that workspace's content: Home shows its books, and Research, Write, Edit, and Publish work on its books. You can switch as many times as you want.
If a workspace you just joined is missing from the list, close and reopen the app.
Create a shared workspace
Creating a workspace is done in the web app. Open WriteinaClick on your computer and follow the Personal vs Shared guide; the new workspace then appears in the mobile switcher.
Accept an invitation
Invitations are accepted in the web app. Whoever invites you sends you an invite link themselves; open it in a web browser and accept there. The workspace then appears in the mobile switcher.
Leave a workspace
Leaving a workspace is done in the web app. The mobile app does not have a leave option.
Workspaces and offline mode
The mobile app keeps a separate offline copy for each workspace. Switching to a workspace you've never opened on this device requires a connection. Once it's loaded, that workspace is available offline too.
