Interface Tour
The mobile app is organized around the book path, plus Account. Once you know the destinations, the rest of the docs feel obvious. Concepts map: The Path for Your Book.
The book path (tabs)
At the bottom of the phone (or in a sidebar on iPad / large tablets):
- Home: shelf, continue writing, create or open a book.
- Research: Robin research chat and Story Hub for the active book.
- Write: opens the manuscript (full-screen immersion while drafting).
- Edit: proofing for a chapter or the whole book.
- Publish: export, Reader, beta sharing (Finish / Beta / Later segments).
- Account: your profile, workspace, preferences, progress and Ink, Data & sync (with Trash), subscription, notifications, and sign out. It sits after Publish and is not a step of the book path.
Switch the active book with the book selector near the top of Home (and other destinations that need a book).
Write (immersive drafting)
Tap Write (or a book on Home). The manuscript opens full-screen:
- Back arrow at the top-left returns you to Home.
- Chapter title at the top. Tap it to open the Chapters list and switch chapters.
- Formatting bar above the keyboard: Body (headings and blockquote), List, Ask Robin, Support, Undo, Redo. Select text for bold, italic, underline, and strikethrough.
- Actions (...): Story Hub, Version History, Book settings, Reader Pulse, Readiness check, and Spell check.
See Write for the full walkthrough.
Research, Edit, Publish
- Research: chat + hub panel; save proposals into Story Hub.
- Edit: start or stop a proof run; open reports and version history.
- Publish: Finish (export + Reader), Beta (guest links + feedback), Later (coming capabilities).
Reader
From Publish, tap Open in Reader for a clean reading view with optional text-to-speech. See Reader Mode.
Story Hub
From Research, or from Write → Actions → Story Hub. Worlds, characters, places, glossary, notes, maps, and timeline. See Story Hub on Mobile.
Account
Open the Account tab for your profile, preferences, progress and Ink, notifications, and subscription. Trash is under Data & sync. To switch workspaces, tap the Workspace card near the top of Account.
Preferences (hub subtitle: Theme, Listening) opens appearance and Listen options, including whether audio continues in the background (on by default, with lock-screen / notification pause controls). See Preferences.
