How do I export my book from WriteinaClick?

Exporting your manuscript takes just a few steps. Choose your format, and WriteinaClick builds the file in the background while you keep writing.

From Publish:

  1. Open the book and go to Publish.
  2. In the Make it real card, click EPUB, PDF, Word, or Plain text.

From Write:

  1. Open the book in Write.
  2. Open the File menu and choose Export.
  3. Pick PDF Document, Word Document, EPUB, MOBI (Kindle), AZW3 (Kindle), Plain Text, or Markdown.

The same Export menu also lists premium export themes (bought with Ink in the store), Push to options for Google Docs or Notion if you have connected them, and Sync settings. See Google Docs and Notion.

Export Processing

  • Runs in the background - A message confirms the export has started. Large books take longer.
  • No need to wait - You can keep writing while the file is built.
  • Jobs menu - Progress shows in the Jobs menu (the clipboard icon in the top bar).

Downloading Exported Files

  • When the file is ready, click Download in the message that appears, or open the Jobs menu and click the download button on the finished export.
  • Save the file to your computer. The filename usually includes your book title and the format.
  • For ebooks (EPUB, MOBI, AZW3), transfer the file to your e-reader or reading app as you normally would.

If a download link is no longer available, export the book again.
